Dettaglio offerta - I borghi delle due valli
FIRST DAY
We will arrive in Spoleto in the early afternoon and the first activity for the whole family will be to discover the city with a glorious past. The children will be fascinated by the mechanised escalator route that leads from the Ponzianino car park up to the Rocca Albornoziana and the Ponte delle Torri.
Accommodation and overnight stay.
SECOND DAY
After breakfast, the day in fine weather will be totally dedicated to an outdoor experience to be quoted on request. The family can, for example, cycle a section of the Old Spoleto - Norcia Railway route. The railway was inaugurated in 1926 and, for its time, represented a true masterpiece of engineering, with no less than 377 works of art built in just over 50 kilometres, including helical tunnels and the daring bridge over the Cortaccione stream. The railway was closed in 1968 and, after many years of disuse, in July 2014 the current cycle/pedestrian path was inaugurated on the route of the old railway, which can now be travelled as far as Piedipaterno.
Overnight stay
THIRD DAY
After breakfast, before returning to our destination, we make a stop at Sant'Anatolia di Narco, where the Hemp Museum is located. In the renovated spaces of the museum, the themes of the cultivation and exploitation of hemp, both in the domestic and productive spheres, are better illustrated; tools for processing and weaving are on display, as well as a rich collection of textile artefacts from the territory, donated by families.
