2-night package in a 3* farmhouse / hotel with breakfast included, rich welcome dinner in a restaurant selected by us and drinks included. The package also includes an interesting cooking course on the preparation of torta a testo. The "torta al testo" is an ancient, unleavened bread that owes its name to the cast-iron plate, the "testo", on which the dough was baked. A few gestures by expert and loving hands, and we find ourselves in a world of genuine flavours and aromas, in the heart of the Umbrian culinary tradition. A simple yet precious recipe that will delight your palate! At the end of the lesson, a delicious tasting of 'torta al testo' stuffed with the best of local pork products, with a glass of fine wine.

BOOKING MODALITIES:

Request confirmation of availability of services and payment of a deposit equal to 30% of the total amount of the package upon confirmation and payment of the remaining balance 25 days prior to arrival. For bookings made during the 25 days prior to arrival, you will be asked to pay the full amount of the package upon confirmation.

Travelling program: 

DAY 1 - Accommodation at your farmhouse, Spello on your own (suggested visit). Back to your farmhouse, enjoy a traditional welcome dinner. 

DAY 2 - Large breakfast at your farmhouse and Assisi on your own (suggested visit); in the afternoon "Torta al testo" cooking class with final delicious tasting stuffed with all the best of local norcineria. Back to your farmhouse.

Visit Assisi - Cooking class on torta al testo with tasting

Good morning! Today, after a hearty breakfast in a farmhouse/hotel, we propose a visit to Assisi on your own, a Franciscan place par excellence, not only in Umbria and Italy, but all over the world. Visit the Basilica Di San Francesco, visit Santa Chiara and stroll along the beautiful alleys of the village.

In the afternoon, a "Torta al testo" cooking class with final tasting, stuffed with all the best of local pork products.

Return to the agriturismo, / hotel, free dinner and overnight stay.

Visit to Perugia - Departure
Breakfast at an agritourism farmhouse/hotel, before departing we suggest a visit of Perugia on your own (visit recommended).Perugia, the capital of the Umbria region, is worth a visit not only for the beauty of its hilltop location, but also for its beautiful ancient buildings. Before coming under Roman rule, ancient Perusia was one of the twelve cities of the Etruscan federation and considerable sections of the Etruscan walls, which stretched 2,800 metres around the town, have been preserved. Perugia is known to the art world as the centre of the Umbrian School of Painting in the 15th and 16th centuries and its greatest exponents, Pietro Vannucci (known as Perugino) and Bernardino Betti (known as Pinturicchio), worked here. The young Raphael worked in Perugino's studio until 1504. You will find works by all three in the churches and public buildings of Perugia.Free lunch and departure. END OF SERVICES
