Package of 2 nights in a 3* Agriturismo / Hotel with rich breakfast, welcome dinner in a restaurant selected by us with drinks included, and an interesting cookery course to discover homemade pasta. Nothing makes us as famous in the world as pasta! And nothing can make us feel at home when we are away like a forkful of this dish, so simple and yet so tasty! But do we really know its secrets and regional specialities? In a lovely agriturismo we will learn about the biological phases of the product, from the grain to the milling, we will learn to recognise the various types of flour, flour processing techniques, the seasons and their cultivation, and we will experience the transformation of flour into typical Umbrian pasta. At the end of the course, we will enjoy a delicious dish of pasta and other typical Umbrian products.

Program

3 Days

DAY 1 - Arrival in Umbria scheduled after lunch, accommodation in agriturismo / 3* hotel and in the afternoon, visit of Spello on one's own (visit recommended). At about 20:30, welcome dinner in a restaurant selected by us, drinks included. After dinner, return to accommodation and overnight stay.
DAY 2 - Breakfast at the agriturismo / hotel and we reach a lovely agriturismo a few kilometres from Assisi for an interesting pasta cookery course; lunch at the agriturismo follows. In the afternoon, we visit Assisi on our own (visit recommended); return to accommodation, dinner at leisure, and overnight stay.
DAY 3 - Breakfast at the Agritourism / Hotel and before leaving, we suggest a visit to Perugia on your own (visit recommended).

Visit to Spello - Welcome Dinner

Arrival in Umbria scheduled after lunch, accommodation in a 3* agriturismo / hotel and, in the afternoon, visit of Spello on your own (visit recommended).The Porta Consolare marks the entrance to Spello or, as Julius Caesar called it, the Splendidissima Colonia Julia, an enchanting village of Roman origin, listed among the most beautiful villages in Italy, thanks to its rich environmental, cultural and artistic heritage. Spello still preserves traces of its historical past with its ancient walls and Properzio Towers protecting Porta Venere, another access point to the town. The church of Santa Maria Maggiore can be reached by strolling through charming alleys and ancient streets, along which flowered balconies overlook the town and which, with the passage of time, have become true symbols of the town, and still remain one of its most sought-after attractions. The church houses an artistic treasure inside: the Baglioni Chapel, with Deruta majolica floor tiles and frescoes by Pinturicchio. Spello also boasts a rich picture gallery and, just outside the walls, a marvellous museum complex known as the 'Villa Dei Mosaici', which has unearthed 500 square metres of precious mosaics whose central theme is the grape harvest and wine.At approximately 20:30, welcome dinner in a restaurant selected by us, drinks included. Cooking Class 'Pasta' with Lunch - Visit to Assisi

Breakfast at an agriturismo / hotel and we reach a lovely agriturismo a few kilometres from Assisi for an interesting pasta cookery course, followed by lunch at the agriturismo.Nothing makes us famous in the world like pasta! And nothing can make us feel at home when we are away from home like a forkful of this dish, so simple and yet so tasty! But do we really know its secrets and regional specialities? In a delightful farmhouse amidst olive trees, we will learn about the biological phases of the product from grain to milling; we will learn how to recognise the various types of flour, the processing techniques and experience the making of typical Umbrian pasta flour. At the end of the lesson, we will enjoy a delicious lunch with the result of our work and other typical products of our region.In the afternoon, we suggest an independent visit to Assisi , the city of peace, and a Franciscan place par excellence, not only in Umbria and Italy, but throughout the world.Return to accommodation, free dinner and overnight stay.

Visit of Perugia - Departure

Breakfast at the agriturismo/hotel, check-out and before leaving we suggest you visit Perugia on your own.

Perugia is the Umbrian capital that represents many cities in one, all fascinating and all full of history. Among the many monuments, incredible works of art, Etruscan remains and the green countryside, the symbol of Perugia par excellence is probably the Fontana Maggiore with its marble basins decorated with sculpted bas-reliefs. Then there is the Etruscan arch, an enormous gateway to ancient Perusia with travertine blocks. Other buildings to admire include the Palazzo dei Priori (now the Town Hall), the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo or di Giustizia, the palace of the old University, Palazzo degli Oddi Marini Clarelli, Palazzo Sorbello, Palazzo della Penna, and the Rocca Paolina.
