Accomodation - I borghi delle due valli
Converted from an old, gracefully restored farmhouse, the small dwelling is dressed in light and colour through its large windows and terraces and opens onto a hillside among the vines, olive trees and cypress trees, immersed in a time still cadenced by the tolling of bells, the rising sun and the shining stars. Agriturismo San Giovanni was born from a passion for its countryside, from a love for its own town Collazzone, small but rich in history, a town of saints, the cradle of Jacopone's Laudi, of marvellous landscapes and of traditions unchanged over time. It offers a taste of the restful tranquillity of the surrounding landscapes that only the Umbrian countryside can provide. The farmhouse takes its name from the medieval church of the Knights Templar, also known as the "Knights of St John", built on this hill but destroyed over the centuries and used in more recent times as raw material by farmers to build their houses right here in San Giovanni. Situated on the top of a hill (about 500 m), you can see the whole of Umbria from Perugia to Todi, reaching Assisi, Todi, Perugia, Spoleto, or "minor" villages such as Bevagna, Montefalco, Deruta, being at the centre of a thousand roads and a thousand paths in a short time. All this for a stay amidst the tranquillity of nature, art and culture.
